The Meandering Catalysts Society

MEARCATS: not an inadvertent misspelling of the cuddly, Russian-accented ‘meerkats’, but merely an abbreviation of the Meandering Catalysts Society.

The Meandering Catalysts Society is an exciting new meetup group and venture based in London whose fundamental goal is to bring together travel bloggers and industry professionals – and bridging the gap in between. Through a series of events, informal gatherings and online interactions we wish to encourage growth in the travel blogging industry by ‘catalysing’ working collaborations – be it advertising, social media exposure, press/blog trips or travel promotion consultations.

MEARCATS is also geared towards integrating other blogging industries into our social circles – our way of expanding our horizons and creating opportunities outside the industry.

Regular monthly meetups

The Meandering Catalysts Society meetups are held on the first Thursday of every month.

The format of these events are largely informal – novice and experienced bloggers alike are welcome to attend as well as travel PR, travel companies and tourism board representatives. We believe that in such casual social environments both bloggers and industry professionals will find it easier to get acquainted with each other and discuss possible partnerships – especially if you’re new to the scene and would like to soak up more face-time to build up the confidence!

Online seminars

The latest addition to the venture is a series of webminars – for those who would like to dig deeper into the technical side of travel blogging, the industry and social media and those who can’t make it to our ‘real-life’ events!
